Full Time Course - (PGPHA & MBA)
Introduction
This a Hospital and Health Care oriented Management programme to acquire the requisite knowledge on the Philosophy, objectives, structure, staffing, relationships, operating systems, policies and procedures, problem solving methods and so on in. In management of departments/services of a hospital for efficient and effective performance. It is a twin degree programme PGPHA combining with MBA from a UGC rcoganised university assuring high academic quality, while providing traditional classroom setting with hands on training cum internship in hospitals of repute

Objectives

Develop deeper understanding of multidisciplinary and multi dimensional nature of hospital management and understand the basics of functional disciplines to human relation problems.
Provide scientific management approach related to both internal and external public and to apply management tools for decision making.
Develop quality oriented managers deeply committed to attend to the needs of patients as well as community, and dedicated to ensure delivery of quality care at optimum cost affordable to the community.
Acquire adequate knowledge and skill to act as a middle level or frontline manager in various capacities, such as, Assistant medical Superintendent, Manger [HRD], Manager (Stores), floor Manger, Manager Supportive or Utility Services, Quality Control Officer in hospital and healthcare facilities, and so on.


Theme of the Programme
The Programme designed is founded on the perspective that healthcare is not “just another business” Rather, it is a unique set of service arrangement with inherent duties and accountabilities that are crucially related to innovative, sound and responsible business practices.

The course of study focuses on Practical applications from both business and health service fields of knowledge. Emphasis is placed on the development of leadership skills that are necessary to thrive in the rapidly changing and extraordinarily challenging and complex health services enterprise of the 21st Century, both in India and abroad.

Eligibility

Graduate or graduating with minimum 50% marks in health sciences, such as Medicine, Dental, Nursing, Pharma, paramedics including Physiotherapy, Biotech, Microbiology and related fields or a degree in Homeopathy, Unani, Aryurveda, Indigenous system of medicine
3 years bachelors degree in science of any University recognized by the University Grants Commission
Graduates or graduating in Engineering are also considered
In case of SC/ST Candidates the minimum marks shall be 45%


Admission Process

Application forms are supplied on request or can be downloaded by logging on to www.ahaindia.org & www.hierank.org

Completed application forms must be submitted Hierank Business School at the address mentioned

Subsequently, to appear for entrance examination and/or interview, where in your candidature for admission will be considered.

CAT/MAT Scores are also accepted.


Duration
Two years including six months rotating internship programme in selected multi-specialty modern corporate hospitals in Delhi/NCR of Delhi, as approved.

The programme will consists of theory, and hospital based practical training throughout the period, in hospitals located in Delhi/NCR of Delhi, as required.

12 months exemption may be considered for those applicant who have successfully completed DH & HM programme from a recoganised institution and has adequate experience
