Health care delivery system in India is presently at cross-roads with rising cost of healthcare on one hand and substantial rise in the expectations of the community on the other hand. The enormous increase in the complexity of the healthcare delivery services demands efficient management of facilities, proper resource utilization, cost containment while achieving the productivity targets of an organization with optimum customer satisfaction.
In India, there is a need of large number of qualified administrators at various levels -approximately 20000 at junior level, 10000 at mid-level and 5000 at the senior level. The Management Development Programme (MDP) proposes to fill this gap in the professional management of our hospitals and healthcare institutions by providing practical insights to the administrative personnel till such time they acquire formal degree/diploma
